A MONTHLY PRAYER BREAKFAST FOR MEN

Weekend Warriors

Build the wall. Stand in the gap.

Once a month. One hour. One booth at a local restaurant. Men who refuse to pray in generalities — praying over each other by name, in a set order, every single time.

Men who show up and pray on purpose

Once a month, for one hour, a handful of Christian men meet at a local restaurant of their choosing. Some tables meet more often and stay longer. That is up to them. What is not up to them is the purpose.

We pray over each other as men. We pray over our wives and our children. We pray over our churches and our pastors — and if a man isn’t planted in a local body yet, we pray him into one and help him get connected. Then we push the wall outward: our jobs, our community, our state, our nation, and the world.

This is not scattershot prayer, and it is not accidental. There is an intentional, planned order every time we meet. No blanket statements. No “bless everybody.” Specific prayers, over specific men, for specific needs, every time. No exceptions.

God is still looking for men

In Ezekiel 22:30, God says He looked for a man who would build up the wall and stand in the gap for the land — and He found no one. Nehemiah answered that kind of call. When Jerusalem’s walls lay in ruins, he wept, fasted, and prayed (Nehemiah 1:4), then picked up a trowel. When the threats came, “we prayed to our God and posted a guard day and night” (Nehemiah 4:9). Prayer and action. Never one without the other.

Weekend Warriors exists because the gap is still open — in our homes, our churches, and our nation — and God still uses ordinary men who will stand in it.

Same order. Every table. Every time.

Like the men in Nehemiah 3 who rebuilt the wall in front of their own houses, we start close and work outward.

Who WE PRAY for, BY NAME | THE LIST

The Men at The Table

Each man’s specific request, prayed over by the man beside him. Confession and accountability where it is needed (James 5:16).

Wives & Children

Every wife and child named out loud. Marriages, salvation, protection, the specific battle each one is in.

Church & Pastor

Each man’s church and pastor by name. A man without a church names one he will visit before the next table (Hebrews 10:24–25).

Work & Community

Employers, coworkers, the lost in each man’s circle — and the server waiting on our table.

Our State

The governor, state senators, and state representatives, by name.

Our Nation

U.S. senators, the local congressman, cabinet, courts, and the President, by name (1 Timothy 2:1–2).

The World

One nation, missionary, or persecuted church each month, by name.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE TABLE | AGENDA

0:00-0:10

Arrive, order, sit. Table Captain reads one passage aloud (rotate men each month).

0:10-0:20

Report and request. Answered prayers from last month first. Then each man gives specific requests for himself, his family, his church, and his work. Captain writes them in the Table Log.

0:20-0:35

Rings 1–2. Each man prays for the man on his right — his request, his wife and children by name.

0:35-0:45

Rings 3–4. Churches and pastors by name. Work and community. Ask the server, “How can we pray for you?”

0:45-0:55

Rings 5–7. Leaders by name from the monthly list (state, nation), then one world focus.

0:55-1:00

Log it and set the next date. Every man leaves with the names he is carrying until the next table.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO ALREADY BE A PRAYER WARRIOR TO COME

Weekend Warriors is not for the faint of heart. It costs you an early morning, your pride, and your excuses.

But hear this: if you’re not already a prayer warrior, that is completely OK. Come anyway. Sit at the table with men who are. Listen. Learn. Grow. Go deeper. Be formed on purpose, by purpose, for purpose — because this is how God has always moved through His men to change the world.

Weekend Warriors | Diner Tee
$30.00
Every town has a diner that never closes, and every man needs a table he can count on.

Weekend Warriors is a monthly prayer breakfast for men. We meet at a local restaurant for at least an hour and pray with purpose. We don’t stack up big, vague requests. We pray for specific men by name, in order: our families, our church, our community, our work, our state, our nation and the world. If you’ve never prayed out loud in front of another man, you’re welcome here. Nobody keeps score. We just show up.

The front carries the WEEKEND WARRIORS letter tiles with ALWAYS OPEN and MENSMINISTRY.ONLINE on one line beneath them. The door to the throne room doesn’t close. Scripture says to pray without ceasing, and that’s the standard we hold ourselves to.

The back says what this is about: NOT SCATTERED. COVERED. Prayer that’s aimed and specific, under the protection God promises in Psalm 91:4.

Wear it to the booth. Wear it to work. When a man asks what it means, invite him to breakfast.
Weekend Warriors | Short Stack Mug
$12.00

Every Weekend Warriors table starts the same way: coffee poured, orders in, and men getting ready to pray on purpose.
The Short Stack Mug carries the mark of that table. It has a stack of pancakes with syrup and butter, the red, white, and blue Weekend Warriors banner, and the line every table lives by: Real Men, Real Prayers (and Bacon).
Under the banner is the verse behind it all, Philippians 4:6: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Put it on your desk, your kitchen counter, or the table at your next breakfast. Let it remind you that a man’s coffee time can be prayer time too.
Every purchase helps fund the ministry of MensMinistry.online and the work of putting more men at the table.

Weekend Warriors | iPray Tee
$30.00

Some men show up for the pancakes. They stay for the prayer.

The iPray Tee is part of The Booth Collection, made for Weekend Warriors, our monthly prayer breakfast for men. Once a month, men gather around a restaurant table, pour the coffee, order a short stack, and pray by name, in order: the men at the table, our families, our church, our community, our work, our state, our nation and the world. No vague requests. No pretending. Just men bringing real needs to a real God.

The back says it plainly: iPray. It’s not a slogan you grow out of. It’s a decision you make every morning. Scripture commands it, and the men at your table will hold you to it.

It’s fun on purpose. Breakfast, bacon and brotherhood go together. But don’t let the syrup fool you. This shirt stands for something serious.

Wear it to breakfast. When a man asks about the pancakes, invite him to the table.

My Grandpa’s List | Our Origin Story

My grandpa, David Hunt, was a prayer warrior. After he passed, we found notebooks, pads, and sticky notes all around his home. One of the notebooks in particular held a running list of every person he was praying for — some for salvation, some for other needs.

On those pages he had written out the names of the key leaders of our nation: state representatives, senators, congressmen, all the way up to the President himself. Name by name, right there on the page.

And many of those prayers were answered. It happened. That notebook is why every Weekend Warriors table keeps a log, and why we pray for leaders by name — whatever party they belong to — just as Paul commanded the church to pray for “kings and all those in authority” (1 Timothy 2:1–2).
